Hey Ladies, where you at?

That's right March may be famous for a number of reasons - revenge on the ides, getting krunk on the 17th, but March is also the month we celebrate Intl Women's Day, celebrated on March 8.

So i'd just like to take this opportunity to holla at some of my favorite homegirls, and give shameless plugs to my girl's Annie super dooper entrance into the blogosphere at http://temp2fire.blogspot.com/ .

I would call Annie a righteous babe, but it's Annie not Ani. Don't matter, this girl knows how to have a good time, be it bloggin at work, rollerskating in GGP, or stalking uncanny hipsters in Dolores Park, Ann's a true flower child of the city.

also gotta give mad props to Maggie *save the World* G-Funk. Whether she's working longside Guatemalan coffee farmers or up in Seattle fundraising for the cause, Maggie shames us all on the social justice front. A woman for others, hollachu!

Lest not forget, 'Rica, who is giving up the corporate rat race to find adventure, travel, and lots of cheap cheap clothes over the next five months teaching English in Thailand. We gonna miss you, grrrrrl! Dont come home with a manboy fiancee or guinea worm!

And although it feels like all the homegirls are leaving, we got a few homecomings to speak of. Our girl C-Dom, after 5 years in NYC has fled the Bronx for the more tranquil life of social work on 880 bryant. Thankfully, Cristina gets to get out of jail everyday at 5, but with the way that girl throws down I would not be surprised to see the po' coming after her for being a bad asss.

And then of course, there's Gina, who's representing the Bay big time down in A-Z. Gina makes it ROUND and shakes her ass real high on the dancefloor. During the week she a mildly-eccentric mannered Eng and Spanish teacher -- on the weekends she's domestic goddess extroadinaire and dancing queen. She'll be round for Spring Break - break it up, break it up, break it up!

So ladies, way to make it ROUND, make it HYPHY, make it KRUNK! let's party like it's 1999 on this apocalyptic weekend when we all in town.
